Ivan Baldwin, the Business Development Director for Bechtel's nuclear power division in the UK and Europe, brings over 20 years of expertise in project management, sales, and marketing. Responsible for market strategy and execution in various nuclear sectors, including large reactors, advanced reactors, plant modifications, and the fuel cycle, Ivan has a proven track record of driving new business deals in defense and nuclear industries. His career highlights include leadership roles at BAE Systems, Vinci Group, and National Nuclear Laboratory, where he served as Vice President for Government and International, overseeing a substantial portion of company sales and profitability. Ivan's contributions extend beyond his professional commitments, evident in his voluntary roles, such as Chairman of Britain's Energy Coast Business Cluster and the first male president of a global Women in Nuclear Chapter. Adrian has undertaken senior roles in the management consulting industry, including PwC, Booz Allen Hamilton and EY. He was also the managing director of a boutique energy consulting firm where he worked with the former UK Chancellor of the Exchequer, Phillip Hammond.
Adrian has a degree in French and Spanish from Southampton University and a Masters in International History from the London School of Economics.

Rachael is the Commercial Director for EDF UK Nuclear Operations. She has responsibility for strategy, business development, wholesale market interface and supply chain activities in support of the UK’s existing nuclear fleet.
Rachael joined EDF in the UK in 2000 and has supported the networks, customers and generation business units as well as working as an expatriate for five years in the EDF Group headquarters in Paris. She is a chartered electrical engineer and holds a masters degree in business administration from Columbia University and the London Business School.
Rachael’s roles have focused on business development, strategy and commercial topics across the thermal and nuclear fleet. In her current role, Rachael is responsible for delivering net zero development opportunities in new technologies such as advanced modular reactors, energy storage and hydrogen production.

Matt and his dedicated team deliver projects across hydrogen, carbon capture and storage (CCS), as well as low carbon fuels and chemicals projects, integrating traditional engineering skills into innovative low carbon solutions reducing the impact of process plant on the world’s environment.
Previously Matt was responsible for the Mechanical Engineering Group of Kents UK operations for over a decade. Leveraging his background experience in consultancy, study, FEED, and EPC experience, Matt is able to apply his insights and knowledge from the execute phase back into the front end, developing conceptual designs into executable projects.
His diverse skill set encompasses Project Direction, Project Management, Study Management, Engineering Management, Lead Engineering, and Rotating Machinery roles, reflecting his multifaceted contributions to Kent's success. In the corporate world he has led as Head of Electricity Construction (VP) for National Grid, as an Offshore Installation Manager on Shell’s flagship oil and gas ‘rig’ in the North Sea and a variety of interim roles.
His bedrock has been a career in the Royal Navy Submarine Service. His leadership and teamwork have been tested during an operationally focused career operating as far afield as under the Arctic Ice Cap to the Indian Ocean. He has also worked on exchange with the Royal Netherlands Navy and the US Navy.
His notable military assignments were Captain of the nuclear-powered submarine HMS Turbulent and Commander of the world-renowned Submarine Command Course ‘Perisher’. He was responsible for teaching submarine captains to deal with the challenges of leadership, risk- taking and decision-making in the 21stCentury.
He is chair of the Plymouth Argyle Community Trust which is the largest English Football League charity.
He has a MA and MSc, is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and is alumni of the Windsor Leadership Programme. He is a published author (‘SSN 14’ and ‘A view from Below’).
